Since its founding in 1962 by Sara Mae and Larry Berman, the Cambridge Sports Union has been one of New England's premier athletic clubs. The 250 women and men who make up the club range in experience and ability from beginners to nationally competitive athletes.

The running section organizes regular workouts for its members, coordinates team racing activities, and puts on a number of social events throughout the year. For those who are either new to the running scene or the New England area, CSU's friendly, collegial style fosters an excellent environment in which to meet training partners with similar goals and abilities.

Congratulations to 2005 CSU Hall of Fame Inductee!
Congratulations to Duke Hutchinson, who was inducted into the Cambridge Sports Union Hall of Fame on Saturday, February 4, at the CSU 2005 Recognition Party.

Duke has been a member of CSU for nearly 20 years, and is a past president of the Club. For years he has served as volunteer coordinator for CSU; handled equipment, uniforms, and apparel for the Club; managed logistics for the Club's participation in the Boston Marathon; and contributed in countless other ways. Duke is also an accomplished runner in his own right and was 3rd in the Seniors Division of the 2005 New England Runner Pub Series.

Duke joins prior-year inductees Larry and Sara Mae Berman (co-founders of the Club) and former Olympian Eleonoro Mendonca in the CSU Hall of Fame. In tribute to his years of service, Duke received a rousing ovation from Club members and a plaque "in recognition of outstanding service to Cambridge Sports Union and the running community."
