Since its founding in 1962 by Sara Mae and Larry Berman, the Cambridge Sports Union has been one of New England's
premier athletic clubs. The 250 women and men who make up the club range in experience and ability from beginners
to nationally competitive athletes.
The running section organizes regular workouts for its members, coordinates team racing activities, and puts on a
number of social events throughout the year. For those who are either new to the running scene or the New England area,
CSU's friendly, collegial style fosters an excellent environment in which to meet training partners with similar goals
and abilities.
Want to stay cool in the summer heat while running 12 or 18 miles? Try a treadmill in an air-conditioned health club!
If that isn't what you had in mind, join us this Sunday Aug 15 for 12 miles around the Mystic Lakes, with an optional 6-mile extension around Spy and Fresh Ponds. The forecast is for cool and cloudy, so there's no better time to get in a long run for your fall marathon training! We'll be starting PROMPTly from Watertown at 9:00 am, so plan to arrive no later than 8:45 so you have time to fuss around before we head out the door.
Please let me know by return email if you plan to come, so I'll have some idea of head and feet count. Also, pls consider bringing something edible to munch on afterwards, though it's not required. Questions? e-mail or 617-926-5149.
