Since its founding in 1962 by Sara Mae and Larry Berman, the Cambridge Sports Union has been one of New England's premier athletic clubs. The 250 women and men who make up the club range in experience and ability from beginners to nationally competitive athletes.

The running section organizes regular workouts for its members, coordinates team racing activities, and puts on a number of social events throughout the year. For those who are either new to the running scene or the New England area, CSU's friendly, collegial style fosters an excellent environment in which to meet training partners with similar goals and abilities.

Thank You CC Volunteers
Thank you all very much for volunteering at the Corporate Challenge!!!!!!
We were able to raise $900 for the club that will help support race fees and club activities.

Another cool thing - we had ‘6 CSU friends’ come out to volunteer with us thus raising $30 each for the club, even though they were not club members!

Thanks again everyone for braving the weather and volunteering your time!!!

Annual CSU Ice Cream Bicycle Tour!
It may not feel like summer yet, but it DEFINITELY is time to start training for the Annual CSU Ice Cream Bicycle Tour!
Sunday, July 25, departing promptly at 10:30 am
Meet at Concord (MA) Center, on the green, by the water fountain

Back by popular demand! A leisurely bike ride to THREE houses of Delectable Dairy Delights:
Bates at Kimball's (Carlisle)
Erickson's (Maynard)
Kimball's (Westford)

Almost everyone can do all or some of the bike ride ... The ice cream eating is by far the most strenuous activity of the trip. (START TRAINING NOW!!) Although physically challenging (the ice-cream eating), the trip for over 20 years has been alleged to be calorically neutral, unless you insist on a double-scoop, jimmies and/or whipped cream.

The entire loop is about 52 miles, BUT you don't have to do the whole route... Many proud veterans of the ride have stopped after the first or second cones (easy routes back to Concord).

Bring your friends, your families, and especially your bicycles! Contact Gail at gail@csurun.org for more information, or to RSVP. Hope to see you there!
